Womens Knee Brace - This Free Information Is For Women Only

Knee Braces For Women

Are you looking for a knee brace? One that is made for women?

At the very end of this article we will show you how to find it, but for now we would like to illustrate some helpful information about knee supports first.

1.) Important Facts

Women are just as active in sports as men, but in a recent study of collegiate basketball players, the men were less likely to have injured their ACLs, versus the women in the study. - We would never want for this to happen to your knees, but the women in this study did have a higher probability of injuring themselves.

2.) How Braces Can Help

Braces can to help protect you against a future injury, or to help prevent your current knee injury from getting worse. If you ever wanted this, then you should think about helping to improve your knee support and protection with the use of a brace. Often times individuals will tell us that they can appreciate the use of a brace almost immediately because it will help reduce their knee pain and improve their knee support at the same time. - True story.

3.) A Man's & Woman's Leg Size - The Difference Between Them

Usually, the measurements required to get the right knee brace are the same that a man would take. Do not make the mistake of thinking that there is only one type of knee brace for women. But actually, as this article has stated earlier, the process and brace selection for women and men follow the same standards.

4.) How To Take Basic Measurements For Your Next Knee Support

Unless you get a custom knee support (which are usually far more expensive), you will need to take a few very important knee measurements to get an effective off the shelf support. Let's give them to you below...

A.) First, start by taking a circumference measurement 15cm (or 6") above your knee center.

B.) Repeat this process at your knee center.

C.) Lastly, finish up the process by taking a measurement 6" underneath the center of your knee cap. Remember 15 cm is approximately equal to 6".

After you have determined your measurements, then you can take this information to a website and figure out your exact size much more readily. Typically, the circumference measurement located 6" above your knee center is the most significant measurement you will take.

4.) Minor, Moderate & Acute Knee Issues?

Take a moment and think about your knee pain. If you were to subjectively rate it, would you say that it is mild, moderate, or severe? It is important to remember to focus on the more severe aspect of this scale so you will be ready when getting a brace. If you do this, you will not be caught off gaurd when it comes to getting the best knee brace for your needs.
